Riding in the snow with a CX bike?
In my area, there will be snow tomorrow. I am interested in getting my cyclocroxx bike out then to ride it on a paved pedestrian and biking trail that I am sure will have 0 people given the snow. I know that salt can corrode metal parts but I am also sure that the trail won't be salted until some time latter in teh day or the next day giving me time to ride on fresh snow without any salt. Are there any mechanical concerns I should know about? I know that frozen water in certain parts can result in the inability to shift gears for example. Is there any thing that can cause permanent damage that I should know about?

Check out the winter cycling forum. Should be able to get all your questions answered there.

Why not , the cyclocross races go on no matter what the weather..
wash down the bike when you get home..
.. I have an old commercial VCR tape that has the 97, Munich, CX World's
a few corners that never thawed, do make for interesting barely making it each go around,
or sliding falls.

From my experiences, a cross bike handles snow the best. The narrower tires cut through snow to get traction on the pavement. The weight distribution is far better for handling as well.
