Tire pressure for gravel grinder?
wondering what the folks who do gravel grinders do for tire pressure. I will be doing a multi-day GG next week on my Nature Boy with CST Servant tires. The roads/trails range from bad to worse...lots of loose gravel.

Depends on your body weight and riding style, but I would start at 50 psi (for 38c CST Servant tires) and go down from there. The lower the pressure - the better traction you will have around the corners at speed.

I am about 200.... I am not worried about corners as this is mostly straight and flat. I am more concerned with soaking up chatter from ATV ruts.

Wow, chatter from ATV ruts is hard to soak up since it is so rhythmic - you can get quite a bounce going. Just run the highest volume tire that will fit. If you can swap a fork that takes a 2.1" or larger 29er tire, and run it at like 30-40psi - it will help alot. Otherwise - bring a bottle of Advil!
