Problem with disk brakes
I have a trek crossrip ellite, and it's a lot of fun on the trails. My disk rotors tend to rub when I lean the bike while pedaling hard. Is there anyway to prevent this? The rotors would rub constantly when I first bought the bike, but I figured out how to adjust them. I just don't want to adjust them to the point in which the calipers don't engage the rotors. The brakes are Hayes CX5. Any info would be greatly appreicated.

If they only rub while pedaling hard, it sounds like your frame or fork is flexing, your quick releases are loose or maybe your cones are loose.

I have a trek crossrip elite
they can show you how to adjust the pad clearance on the disc caliper..
they sold out of all the CR elites so you snatched yours up just in time..

Wouldn't hurt to have the shop check your cones and QR's,but this just sounds like flexing in the frameset. Those brakes only have an adjustable inner pad,so there's only so much you can do with them. Nothing's being damaged,and there's no appreciative wear on the pads or rotors,so it's basically just an annoyance.
