Will 29er wheels and tires fit my Cycobilly Cadillac?

Notices
Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Will 29er wheels and tires fit my Cycobilly Cadillac?

I just built this one up from spare parts, hence the name and word play as such. I'm wondering if 29er wheels and tires will fit it?

You realize that 29er wheels are just 700c wheels, right?

Your only real issue is; what maximum size tire with your frame clear? I'm going to go out on a limb and say 42mm, tops. Maybe 38.

Just cannot use 50mm wide tires, stick with what fits, IE those tires.
Oh and the rear on 29er frames are 135 dropout ,

but I expect the Performance import frame you got is that .

Nothing to be gained but a spare set of wheels , but that, spare race wheels,
is not a Bad idea.

Hmmm, ok, so I guess my next question is this.... can I take this bike on mountain bike trails with this set up? Now I have changed the gearing to a much larger gear on the rear and an LX RD.

You can do as you choose.. free country, for shopping at least.

CX courses are set up more to challenge the Rider than destroy the Bike ..

No Clue about what your MTB trails are like. gravel roads aka "GravelGrinders" , seem to be popular events
outside of the fall CX season.
