bb30 and omega cross crankset to surly cross check?

Notices
Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

bb30 and omega cross crankset to surly cross check?

This is probably a noob question but I landed a new Surly Cross Check frame and want to move the components from my Felt f75x over to the cross check frame. The Felt has a bb30 bottom bracket and fsa omega cross crankset. Will I be able to use that bb and crankset on the Cross Check or should I get a new bb and crankset to go with the 105s moving over to the surly?

You will need to get a new crank and BB to match the Cross Check. The spindle on the BB30 crank is too large for the Cross Check BB Shell.

That's what I thought.

Thanks for the info.

And I would love to keep both bikes, but $$$ is tight with two little ones at home under 2 years old!

So can I throw a Shimano CX50 double crankset on there using a Ultegra or 105 Hallowtech II English threaded BB?
