Ordered my bike yesterdaY. Hope it gets in faster than the 6 week wait. Going to swap my components from my Bianchi. Paid a little extra for a older color of the month, dark blue pearl. I like the looks of the steel fork so I got the steel fork. It will be built and ready to go during my favorite time of year "fall"

Congratulations on the Crosshairs! Please add pictures as you build it up. Someday I will get a custom bike built and a Gunnar would top my list.

I had a crosshairs for a while and loved the ride. My only two complaints were the paint seemed to flake off relatively easy rather than just scratch and it does not like having a rear rack loaded down for touring although that is not really what the bike was designed for so I can not fault it much for that.

The frame came in Thursday and I did a benefit ride yesterday and a 25 miler this morning. Nice riding bike. I went with the Gunnar fork instead of a carbon, I like the looks of the steel fork, wasnt worried about the extra weight and there was an additional charge to paint the carbon to match the bike. I am going to get e new wheelset for it also.

Nice bike. Any reason why you went with the Crosshair vs something like the Sport or Roadie? I like the steel forks also. I don't like having any plastic bits on my bikes. I abuse them too much.

They had a Sport in stock my size, I test rode it and was really thinking about getting it but i wanted the option of wider tires with fenders we tried a 32 with the sport and it would have been tight with fenders. I am happy with this bike.

It's tough to beat the versatility of a cross bike for all around road riding. You can run skinny tires or fat. Good choice on the bike. I've had a Soma Double cross now for almost 12 years and it has gradually become my favorite go to bike. It's tough as nails and does very well on rough roads.

I am liking this bike more and more. Picked up a set of Mavic 517 touring rims from a friend.

That is a great looking Gunnar, that blue is a great color.

What size tires do you have on it? Any idea what the largest tire you could put on it without fenders?

Those are some Ritchey 37's and they fit fine. I put an old Maxxis wormdrive,42mm, on the front, It fit in the steel fork but it had to be deflated to get through the canties.
I had it painted dark blue pearl and it was an additional $75 but I really like the color.
This is a great bike.
