New to the Forum. Picked up my 2016 Anyroad Comax today. Can't wait to get it out on the road tomorrow. Have been riding a carbon Trek Domane for the last 2 years. Should be interesting.

How high is your seat? I'm 6'3 wit a 34' inseam and found that the XL might be better suited for me, but there are none to try out anywhere.
However, when trying the L, the seat was so high out of its tube I thought it was ridiculous and was probably getting off getting an XL.
Glad it worked out for you.

I don't know how far I am from the seat post minimum insertion, but the seat is up fairly high.

lol @ shriking, I know the feeling.
However AllRoader, you're right in regards to the L v XL.
I had a fitting with the L and while they did fit it to my size I thought I'd be better off with an XL. Sure enough and by sheer luck and/or coincidence, they had a 2016 in the back in a box and it was an XL.
So I'll be getting it in a couple of weeks, rather than mid-March.
Now just to pick out a rack, without going too crazy on cost.

You should ride an XL. I think that the L will be too small for you. The general range for the L would be a 31-33" inseam I think. Also, I just performed a detailed fitting measurement, and I am actually 6'1" without shoes (shrinking I think) not the 6'2" that I thought or used to be years ago. With 2" on me, you are going to need more reach than the L has or you will feel "over" the front end.
I don't know how far I am from the seat post minimum insertion, but the seat is up fairly high.

He was simply trying to get rid of the 2015 and push it on me. Needless to say, they sold the L the day I showed up to pick up my XL.
The sizing/fitting went alright, except I'm not sure about the stem, wondering if it should be shorter, but then he pointed out the proper riding posture and the stem hid the front crank. So I guess it's fine?
But at least the saddle isn't out of the seat tube as much as it was on the L size.
Now to get proper pants, gloves and a helmet.

For what it's worth, I am slightly long torso, and I need a shorter stem on mine. I just changed the handlebars to Salsa Cowbells (like the drops, don't like the narrow bars on the top). Still need a shorter stem. I'm going to shrink it about 40 mm.
My opinion is don't use the fit/sizing of how you see over bar to the front of the bike. It's bunk in my opinion and of many pro fitters as well.

You can wirelessly link ANT+ sensor to your smartphone app like Strava and use a smartphone as bicycle computer.

I'm looking at a Liv Invite Comax for my wife. Does anyone else have a pic? The one posted earlier is very bright pink/fuchsia, but the web site pic looks darker. If it's really that bright... my wife really wants one! I'd just like confirmation before ordering.

Road bike tyres
Hello,
New to the forum! I have an anyroad comax. Contemplating an extra set of wheels and tyres just for road rides (I.e. 25mm). Anyone have these on their comax? Does it make much of a difference?

Hello OP, can you please tell me what kind of pedals and clips you have on this bike? They look exactly like what I am looking for!
Moved to FL from the Northeast about 15 years ago. After riding a Cannondale Mountain bike that I slowly converted over to a fitness/hybrid bike for mostly road riding, I was looking for a bike with the following criteria:
-Drop bars - I live near the coast and wanted to be able to tuck under the wind
-Sturdy - I'm over 200lbs
-Comfortable - didn't want a road racing posture, but didn't want to be too upright either
-Disc brakes
-Accommodate wide city tires - Don't want flats, roads here are rough, comfort
-Through frame cable wiring
-Decent price / value
After some research, the Giant Anyroad seemed to be what I was looking for. I ended up paying a little more for the Anyroad Comax which featured a more comfortable carbon/composite frame and 11speed 105 group and took delivery in early November.
After spending some time with it, I made some modifications. First was to add some 42mm Continental Top Contact II tires and some reflective tape on the rims since I ride a MUT at night during the week.
Added two Magicshine clones. One with a diffuser and one without for long throw.
Wired up two batteries in a storage container that I can slip into a bottle cage when needed. Easy removal for charging also.

The pedals are Wellgo M111. I removed the reflectors and added Velo Orange Chrome Half Clips.
Pretty sure I bought both on Amazon.
Good Luck !!

If it helps others, I am the same size as Bag302 and went with the large. I ordered a 2017 CoMax not knowing when it will be delivered, but since it is now available for ordering I thought why not?

Old thread I know but I would like to ask the OP (or anyone who knows) what is the weight of the Liv Invite and how it compares to the Invite 1 and 2.
Thanks

The Comax remained #2 on my shortlist.
Both had 105 gear but the Very good Shimano Hydro/wet brakes On the Trek Crossrip 3 sealed the deal for me. It should be In next week.
Crossrip 3 was $1889 plus tax, about the same as the Comax

Why you needed Ultegra? New Shimano 105 performs better than old Ultegra. You need Ultegra only if you a PRO rider. It's bit lighter than 105 but far more expensive. But Anyroad is not for competitions. Is is for sporty commuting.

Crossrip has alu frame, but Comax has composite frame. Mechanical brakes are more reliable.

Yeah I thought I'd get that response... Let me try to explain - In the UK we have a tax-free cycle purchase scheme where you have to apply for a voucher and then take it to the bike store to buy. I thought I was going down the route of an e-bike so applied for the maximum allowance (£2000) but have had a change of heart and now want a lightweight gravel bike instead, which will still get me up our steep hills but is a bit more portable/versatile. Issue is, bizarrely, that I have more cash to spend than I need for this bike so was wondering whether to look at something more expensive (I could get a Norco Search Carbon Ultegra, for example) or see if there are any practical upgrades I could do with it to use some of the spare cash. Would be useful to know what the difference between the 2016 and 2017 models is and whether it's worth waiting for...
