That's a really interesting format! It would be interesting to try a race like that. I'm not sure, though, that the format is well-served by such a tight, slow course. Looks like very few opportunities for passing. But then that's my bias on courses in general, I don't love how super-windy courses race very much in normal races either.

It's true that passing was difficult. I missed a 4th place finish because passing safely was tough, although if I hadn't slipped on the bridge, I wouldn't have lost that place to begin with. An extra lap would have made all the difference as well.
This was Boise Velo Women's first time putting on a race of ANY kind! I thought they did an outstanding job, and even during the event they were planning on ways to improve it for next year.

I like it, except it does look too tight to allow enough passing. But, cool.

It's got all the ingredients of a good cross course but it's too short imo. But then again sometimes you just have to make due with the space that you have too.
