Did anyone other than me go and race there over the past weekend? Man, it was a blast and the courses were awesome. It was great seeing Compton and the guys racing too. Day two had Powers jumping the barriers while the rest of the field got off and ran it.

Hot and dry....

I raced in the Cat 4 -45+ races all three days. Didn't do too bad with a 2nd, 5th and a DNF. My son raced in the Cat 2/3's so my days at the venues were long, hot and dusty. Really nice event that I'll try to do again next year.

I'll be in bloomington! I had three asthma attack the week of UCI3 so saturday was just me finishing. It was midpack so I was ok with it. Sunday was a mechanical issue compounded with a flat rear and I finished DFL.

My teammate got 13, 7 and 5. His first three X races ever. 13th was because he missed his callup for the Cat4 open and started on the very back. He moved up that much on day 1.

how did bloomington work out for everyone? i had a decent ride, finishing 6th with the old slow guys. my first lap was my slowest, with the traffic jams that were all over the place. fast course, like a TT effort!

There were 32 in my category and I'm still somewhat recovering from the three asthma attacks and new meds that I am on right before UCI3. I got 13th in my group and my teamate got 1st.

I was chasing a 4 man group that was in my category and had I caught them then top 10 for me. I was just catching them at the line. I got behind two wrecks early in the race.

Loved the course and location. After the race, went to Brown Co for some MTB action.
