DCCX- clinic , singlespeed, rookies!

Saturday, October 22

DC-ChiX Clinic 2:00 pm @ DCCX course
This women-only CX clinic will be led by Arley Kemmerer (two-time MABRA Elite Women Champion). She’ll go over the essential CX skills and show you how to handle the DCCX course.
All women riders are welcome. First timers are encouraged. All you need is a bike with knobby tires, a helmet, and a desire to learn. Please arrive early to register and pay fee: $1 for USAC annual license holders, $6 for those without a license. Riders under 18 years must be accompanied by parent/guardian.

Open Course and Optional Team Tent Set Up 1:00 to 4:00 pm @ DCCX course
The DCCX course will be open for practice and for teams to set up (or drop off) their pop-up tents. You MUST sign a waiver before riding the course. Course and grounds will close promptly at 4:15 pm!

Race Packet Pick-Up and Late Registration 5:30 to 7:30 pm @ Sonoma Restaurant
Join us for a pre-race get together at Sonoma Restaurant and Wine Bar on Capitol Hill (223 Pennsylvania Ave, SW, Washington DC). You can pick up your race packet, register for a race (if it’s not sold out). Happy hour drink prices and free cheese table while it lasts! Limited number of DCCX race shirts and cowbells on sale, and free Whole Foods water bottles

DCCX-V Registration & Course open at 7:15 am First race is at 8:30 am
We have a full day of CX racing lined up for 18 categories of riders, everything from Elite Men and Women to the popular Lil Beligans kid’s races. First timers are encouraged to try the Rookie Race at 4:15 pm. Please arrive early if you are racing. Registration closes 30 minutes before each race start.

The DCCX race course is on the grounds of the Armed Forces Retirement Home, Rock Creek Church Rd, NW & Upshur St, NW, Washington, DC 20011. You’ll need a valid ID to enter the grounds. Signs will direct you from the entrance gate to parking and the course.
