Opinions on Diadora Firenze Comp

I'm looking for my first starter road bike. Looking at traditional names and models (Specialized, Giant, Trek, etc.) but my budget is tight and i'm not looking for a used bike at this point. Then I come across this Diadora Firenze Comp on sale at 40% off:
I know they are more known for bike shoes to date but it seems to have good components from what my limited research can show and the price is right at 650$ compared to 1000$ average for other starter models.
But, I can't find any info, opinions, advice on the internet about this bike. Any thoughts would be appreciated!
