I commute from Montreal West to St-Hubert airport a couple of times a week (if the weather is nice). My cruising speed is around 25 km/hr, but I am real slow going up hills. If you cant tolerate my slow pace, perhaps we could meet for a cup of coffee.

For those of you who read or write French, I would suggest the Velocia forum. It's a French-language forum with local sections for Montréal and Québec City amongst others.

thanks for the tip on the french forum. I'm about to check it. J'ai bien besoin de l'practiquer.

I'll see if there's anything on it in Velocia, but I'd really like to get into some winter riding out of the city. If you know anything I'd be interested. I get cramped up in the city in winter, and can't really afford to rent a car all the time. I know there's a ride to Ottawa in February. Check info on it here. But it's during the week, which is silly, because I have to work...

update: Sweet! there's a Noël ride on Dec. 2, christmas costumes encouraged, starting from Atwater Metro at 10h00.

Yep, actually went to that ride, was lots of fun, not too cold, no ice or snow on the streets. It was a lot of fun!
