Niagara Border Crossings

I am planning to cycle around Lake Ontario starting on June 28. Does anyone have any experience with the Niagara region USA - Canda border crossings. What crossing can I cross with my bicycle? The Niagara Bridge authority doesn't even seem clear about it themselves. My preference would be the Queenston-Lewiston crossing. I would appreciate any advice that anyone has to offer, I would sooner know now before I head out.

From what I get from the Niagara Falls Bridge Comminssion who operate the bridges, as a result of 911 the Lewiston-Queenston doesn't allow predestrian traffic which includes bicycles, the Whirlpool bridge is only for NEXUS users so the only bridge left is the Rainbow bridge. Since I am on a bit of a tight schedule this seems out of my way.

Then it makes more sense to go the other way...why not head east and cross the St. Larwrence? Probably easier as you will have the wind at your back on the outgoing leg of the ride

Ride safe
