Prince Edward Island
Does anyone have any experience with road biking on PEI? I'm interested in finding out about road conditions and safety, how the auto traffic is and possibly good places to stay.
Thanks

We (tandem) did an organized tour with Atlantic Canada Cycling in July '05. One week, mostly to the north and east of Charlottetown, which was the start and finish. The "edge" of the island is quite scenic with some rolling, gentle hills, quaint, small villages, excellent cycling. Crossing the province from Victoria Harbour to Brackley Beach, was a real test. Lots of tough climbs, but light traffic. Traffic was not an issue; we found the drivers to be courteous and patient, moreso than here in Ontario.
