Brantford - Turkey Point

Hey guys...

My wife and I are looking at doing a 200km+ ride from Dundas to Turkey Point on the August long weekend. We're really familiar with the roads between Dundas and Brantford, but once we get past there we are kind of lost. Wondering if anyone has ridden in that area and can offer some advice as to what roads are good and what roads to avoid.

Thanks,
Rich

Hi rbart4506, I have cycled through that area several times, a road map is all you really need. The best map that I have used for that area is the Golden Horseshoe Recreational Trails Map.
I can be bought online at https://www.fedpubs.com/mpchrt/maps/rec_trails.htm or likely at any of the local bike shops.
Between Dundas and Brantford why don't you just use the Hamilton to Brantford Rail Trail. It is a great trail for any type of bike and takes right to downtown Brantford.
One thing I do remember is to avoid Normandale, hugh steep hill.
Happy touring!

Thanks for the info...

I found that map recently at our LBS in Dundas, makes an invaluable addition to the Golden Horseshoe Map we have....
