Best fitting place in Toronto?
Hi , there! What is the best place to get fit on the road bike in GTA, preferably Northern part of the city?

La Bicicletta touts there ability pretty aggressively. $60 for the fitting applied to a purchase at the store if you like.

Did it this morning. Turned out that my shoes/cleats, saddle, handle bars need to be adjusted! It feels totally different now, pedal strokes are more efficient. My upper body is relaxed now and S-Works shoes finally feel like they should ;)
Thanks! |
Sounds like $60 well spent!

What about downtown? Any of the shops in the west downtown area ok? Or rather, are there any places I should avoid?
$60 seems pretty reasonable though, might be worth the trip to La Bicycletta. |
The trip up? It's like 10km from downtown! Ride up there and see how much better you feel on the way home :)

I opted to give Duke's a try. The guy who does the fittings is well known mechanic and local racer. He did a really good job! It worked out well because I ended up needing a different length stem and I got a straight swap because I had purchased the existing one there a short while ago.
I was recently at La Bici to pick up a jersey though, great store with great staff. Riding on Dufferin sucks balls though. |
Winston at Cycle Cambridge does an excellent job though. Fitting's range in price though depending what you need! I left with a new stem, ergo grips, a seat / handlebar adjustment, and a much better feeling bike!
