Worst city for Cyclists in Ontario?

Worst city for Cyclists in Ontario?
I'm fairly new to cycling and mostly do it for fitness and recreation. I like to bike, but it my rides are often tainted with somewhat horrible cycling conditions.
I live in Brampton, and this might be the worst city to cycle in Ontario. There are hardly any bike trails; existing ones are in horrible condition. There are 0 bike lanes and many people are forced to ride on the sidewalk. I am one of the few who actually follow the law and ride on the road! When I do, I get massive trucks and angry drivers whizzing past me at 80 km/h.

most people in the scarborough area ride on the sidewalk since no one ever walks on them, the roads are ok but they leave no space for cyclists and drivers don't really pay attention to bikes which makes it worse. so you get a pretty nice sidewalk bike trail in the northern parts of the city. Once you go south you have to be on the road cause there's a ton of pedestrians and traffic is stuck anyways.

I bike in scarb. It's not that bad on the roads as long as you turn of the "fear" part of your brain. Missisuaga is the worst in my mind.

Do you know Toronto well enough to be a messenger? It looks like a fun job, but you gotta hustle and know the city well enough to do your runs and make money. And you have to be comfortable riding in traffic.

I am comfortable riding in traffic (although I almost got killed by an 18 wheeler wizzing past at 70km/h today), and I know Toronto somewhat well. Knowledge will come with experience I think.
