Need opinions on the value of my bike.

I'm thinking of selling my 2013 Jamis Ventura sport, don't get me wrong though this thread is not for selling my bike, rather learning the process. I bought the bike in September 2013 for retail of 749.99 + tax, since then I've only ridden it 3 times on pathed bike paths and the bike was tuned up when I bought and makes no sounds and changes gears smooth as butter. I'd say this bike runs as good as new and has little to no scratches, what kind of price do you think I could sell it for, I was thinking 600?

Look on Craig's List or Kijiji and see if that gives you some clues. But $600 seems a bit steep to me. I see one at $299 and one a $500, both pretty new. And then someone is trying to get rid of one for $699.

General rule of thumb is if you really want to sell it..... 50% of MSRP. On Bike Blue Book here is the listing: The values are in USD and can be found here2013 Jamis Ventura Sport - New and Used Bike Value Oh and please don't shot the messenger.

$378 (Like New)
$360 (Excellant)
$324 (Good)
$241 (Fair)

Yep 1/2 new if in good shape and you want to move it. I see a lot of newer bikes just sit on CL because priced at close to the original retail; at that price, they're generally not moving.

1/2 is the most unless you upgraded wheels and if you lucky you will get 50% extra for wheels
