Outdoor Storage

I've been told that I cannot bring my ebike into the factory where I work, even though there is plenty of unused space. I found a spot out back that is protected on 3 sides from wind and rain, and it looks secure enough. My question is:How durable is the technology on these bikes when it comes to rain and snow? I'll cover it during the day, but sometimes I'm sure I will have to ride home in the rain. What do you guys that commute do with your ebikes during the workday?

I commute with my e-bike. It sees more rainy and wet weather than any other kind of weather. I haven't had any issues thus far. If you have a removable battery, you might want to store it/charge it at room temperature. I've been told that this can help extend the life of the battery.

At work I leave my bike in a bike rack, which is outside. When it is cold I do bring the battery inside with me. At night I bring it in the house.

Thanks guys, that puts me at ease. I may still buy a cover for it.

I would definitely do 2 things. #1 , I'd take the battery inside, regardless of the weather/temperature outside. #2 , I'd cover it as well. I'm kind of worrisome about these things. :p

That's my plan. I saw a cover at Walmart this morning for $20, and I will bring the battery in. Thanks. I worry about that stuff too, especially the display and other controls mounted on the handlebars.
