What cables do i use

I have bought 3 3.4Ah 12V Sealed Lead Acid Batterys (SLA) to make one 36 volt 10.2 amp battery

I was using a lipo 36 volt 10 amp battery before ,

The question i need to learn is what Gage cable do i use to wire up my batterys ?

I am using a 250 Watt Brushless Hub Motor

Thanks

No it isn't, but most people here are more plug and play rather than build your own... Tho there is/are some here that do build their own and you will get an answer I'm sure, eventually...

Look at ebikekit for the wires; it should be noted that three (3) 12V, 3.4 a/h batteries will produce one (1) 36V, 3.4 a/h or one (1) 12V, 10.2 a/h battery depending on whether you have them in series or parallel.

Watts is volts x amps. Divide your 250 watts by 24 volts and you get a little over 10 amps at peak. This is not like a car battery that draws 60-80 amps to start big V8, or uses 20-35 amps continuous to run AC and accessories.

You could look at amps vs gauge table, but I think 14 gauge wire for the short lengths involved in wiring an SLA battery would be more than enough, but maybe 12 gauge or bigger, just to be safe.

I just got a bike battery delivered yesterday, and the two feed wires might be like 16 gauge.
