Trek Conduit - Additional Battery

Hey all,

I have a Shimano Conduit electric bike and I was interested in doing some much longer rides and the battery it comes with will do 40ish miles tops. I looked for a replacement battery so I could carry two but they appear to be non-existent from Trek or Shimano. Does anyone know if I could intstall a toggle switch to this system controller and be able to add another brand external battery to get more life?

Thanks!

Seems incongruous neither has spares; what would a customer do if he damaged his battery? I would keep going up the line of command at Trek (to John Burke, if necessary) until your need is resolved (worked for me once). Shimano doesn't like to have other companies manufacture their products, so good chance the battery carrier is proprietary to them.

It's a Trek Conduit I think. And you can get extra batteries. They're quite expensive though. Maybe around $700-$900 MSRP. It's not a normal thing that's obtainable online but a dealer should be able to order one for you. The battery comes from Shimano, but they will only sell to OEM. Have you gone into a Trek dealer?
