In socal it's: snow + studded tires + ebike = fun + snow + studded tires (I'm jealous)!

Are you making your own studded tires?

My ebike is my winter bike as thats the only time I ride it. I leave the studded tires on all year, then its ready to go when winter gets here and I need it. It is nice to have that extra power to help power through deeper snow! The last few years I really haven't used the motor to much as I feel like I am cheating my self. This year I have been using the motor a little more to control sweating, despite cheating myself. To not sweat much makes for a new learning curve and a different riding style, keeps things fresh!

Those tires weigh five times with my summer tires weigh, so it's rather nice to have a motor to help push the studded tires along .

I found some good nokian tires on sale for $30 each, but then inherited a pair of hundred dollar a piece heavy-duty nokians

Where the motor really helps, is where I stopped in deep snow, or on a hill, and need really even power on the rear wheels to get started again. Sometimes that's impossible to do without a little help from the motor to keep the power Smooth
