Waterproof Cover over the battery/battery holder?
Would it be OK to rig up some type of removable waterproof cover over the battery and the battery holder on my new RadPower mini?
We had some pretty heavy rain here over the weekend, and a couple of my regular routes out of my neighborhood have “kettle potholes” (made that up, didn’t know how else to describe them, so I made a play on the geology term “kettle lake”). Fairly unavoidable to ride through standing water after a good rain, the ground on either side of the flooded path is soft mud. The worst one- and the one on about 75% of my rides, can be 3-4 inches of standing water in 2 sections of path, one probably up to 30 feet long, the other about half that. Needless to say, I wear waterproof shoes/boots those days when I ride through there.
I would only put a battery cover on there when I rode in wet conditions or could anticipate wet conditions/precip.
Better safe than sorry, but OTOH I don’t want to cause a malfunction due to heat buildup or lack of airflow.

Battery packs usually are well protected. (Check your manual.)
Better to look at weak spots, e.g. cables --> use duct tape if necessary
A cover may come in handy once temperatures drop near freezing point though.
