Trek Verve+

Just purchased this wonderful machine from Bike World, San Antonio, TX. As always, great servce, great price and tons of support. Its for my wife and has a 13.5" frame. "Though she be little, she is mighty!" I took it for a test ride with the seat cranked up--topped out at the governed 20mpg, smooth, quiet and secure ride. The other morning we rode together, her on her Verve and me on my 89 Tommassini. She wore me out, Threw it into Touring mode and exclamed, "I love hills!" at the end of the ride, she got a nice work out, we got to ride together and both of our hearts are a bit stronger. Very happy.

Hooray!!! Another Lady-on-an-Ebike. Our ranks are growing, as are our smiles. 😁 What a nice gift for her from you, too!!! You know you're really going to have to work hard just to keep up with her now!

So it was recently our 28th wedding anniversary, and the gift for my wife, and indirectly for me, was a Trek Verve+. My thinking was that this will make it more likely that we can ride together, me riding my Cannondale and Kathryn on the Verve.

We live very close to the Skyline Drive, which is my favorite place to ride. Early Saturday morning we rode 16 miles, including a 3 mile uphill climb from 2150’ to 2975. She had zero problems and we both enjoyed every minute. She passed me on the steepest part, disappeared around a curve, but waited for me as she wanted me to try her bike on that part. It is a magic carpet ride...

So if you are considering an e bike to ride with a loved one who isn’t as fast as you, it could work fabulously.
