i am installing a Bafang BBSHD. I installed a battery on a rack. Did not like the handling on turns. Does anyone have suggestions on a battery pack i can put above the bottom bracket and the mid drive that would fit.

I put a 52V, 6ah Luna "mini" in a seat bag ($16 on Amazon and cut a hole in the bottom for the wires), then used a piece of foam that I cut and placed on top of the battery to insulate it from the seat rails. Functions perfectly and used mostly on pretty severe off road trails; good for 15 - 20 mile rides.

Fabricate something yourself,? say that uses a front rack or basket.

Bikes: K2 (Marzocchi/Fox), Trek 6000 (red) Manitou MARS Elite up front, Specialized Hardrock Sport moving to eBike (Manitou R7 Elite up front), and lastly TREK 820 loaner. Recently sold Peugeot du Monde Record and 1956 Schwinn (owned since new).

I'd say this is an interesting one. I think I'd fab a sturdy bracket to hang the battery under the top tube. I'd prolly use a round "Bottle Battery" and once in teh mount, I'd add a velcro strap around the batt and frame to make sure it did not break the mount and fall ...

I'm sure there is enough metal in that "top tube" to allow at least three fastener points with Nut_Serts to hold a batt mount securely
