Is there a fix?

Check Youtube. There are several interesting videos there.

squeeky brakes are caused by a glaze that forms over the surface of the pads, it forms from high heat on cheap pads, ever hear a car pull up beside you with a high squeal, cheap pads. more expensive pads don't do this.

Brake squeal

My front brake used to squeal like anything, The fix is dead simple remove the brake pads and put a little grease on the back of each disk. The squealing is caused by the disk vibrating. Putting a bit of grease on the back of the disk eliminates this.
Hope this helps.

Yeah seems to be a thing with EBike especially on the front. This is what I did with mine. Removed the brake pads from housing roughed the pad up a little to remove glaze, cleaned the pads put a little grease on the back of the pad (the metal bit that goes against piston)popped the pads back in, pins through checked for safety.Bobs your uncle no more squealing.

Read this article posted by Lars. It is extensive and covers everything you could want to know.
You did not mention how old these brake pads are because (you will read in the article) some pads are made to squeal when they are worn out and need replacing.
Good luck!

I ended up taking a chance and simply changing the pads to the Kool stop pads..
Bike quietly stops on a dime now.
Thanks for the input..

Good. Doesn't that feel good when you fix something and it works.
