Comfortable Ebike seat/saddle
 

My back is killing me!!! I need a recommendation for the most comfortable bike saddle that I can get. Thanks!

If your back is the source of the pain, it is likely that the seat isn't the problem. I would recommend posting your question in the "Fitting Your Bike" subforum.

I recommend that, when you ask there, try to avoid mentioning that it is an e-bike. To do otherwise may turn the conversation to e-bikes instead of bike fitment.

What type of ebike do you have? My wife has had back surgery and is having a hard time finding a comfortable saddle for her Raleigh step-through pedal bike. She tried a Brooks B66S which has a shorter nose but that was too hard so I use it now (I love the springs and find it a good commuting saddle), next she tried a Cloud 9 then a Schwinn wide saddle from Target neither were comfortable. We just received an extra wide saddle from Worksman I need to fit it then we'll see if that works, fingers crossed.

a e bike is no different then any bike but that the cheaper ones tend to be one size fits all so we need a lot more info.

I have a Gazelle Ultimate T10. It’s my back and butt that hurts. Both. Love the bike! But I call the seat, “the rack of torture!”
Does that give everyone enough information?

A suspension seatpost (I like Thudbusters) could be a big help especially combined with a "springy" seat. Maybe of equal importance if the distance from the seat to the bars. If you're stretching to reach the bars, pain in your back might be a resultant. You might try to incorporate both considerations.

I see that bike comes in three sizes, how tall are you and what size did you order?

One of the first places I would look, for back pain is a shorter stem to the handlebars, to reduce stretch.

As someone else mentioned, a suspension seat post often does wonders.

Ok. Wonderful. Yes, my bike is the largest frame. 57 cm. It was just a loner bike to use . Brand new. (Long story short. They screwed up my order so they lent me this one for a bike trip.). They ordered me a small and a medium frame. I have to go back to Grand Haven in a week to pick up one or the other. They want me to try both to see which one fits me better. This one I’m using right now, the 57, is too big for me. I’m 5’5” tall and normal weight. The seat is all the way down and my legs stretch straight when I pedal. I also asked them to add a suspension seat post to whichever size suits me.
And then maybe I can order a squishy, more comfortable seat.

The smaller size should have a shorter seat - handlebar distance and be the superior selection. However, make sure the bars are as high as the seat when you have the seat height optimized. The shop can accomplish this with riser bars if necessary.
