Pretty cool
Hopefully the settings are programable so the user can tweak the assist levels and desired shift points.
BTW, not sure I would want to ride that cargo bike on anything but smooth pavement. Putting 150 kilos of cargo directly above a 20" front wheel with zero suspension will make even minor potholes real filling shakers and rim wreckers. Front visibility is heavily obscured and there is no chance of hopping or otherwise unloading the front wheel.

20" front wheel is plenty strong IME, wife & I have a semi-recumbent tandem since 2007; we put about 1200-1500 miles on it together, never had to true the wheels, yet.
Besides, the front tire on that cargo e-bike looks much wider than the front tire on my semi-recumbent tandem.

Yes, I ride a V-Rex, the 20" Alex rim is very strong.
But 20" wheels are absolutely brutal for any edge around an inch tall, especially at speed. I have encountered raised sections of concrete that required me slow or even stop and walk over. I'll bet you have as well.
Simple matter of physics, a smaller diameter wheel does not roll over obstructions as well as a larger one.
The other huge issue with recumbents is they do not allow lifting the front wheel, no way to hop. Even unloaded I'll bet that cargo bike has a similar issue. Loaded and you will be hitting crap you can't see.

Why would someone want to ride over obstructions on a heavy cargo bike or recumbent?
Even with a stocker in front of my semi-recumbent tandem, I see well enough to avoid hitting stuff.
Seems to me you're just imagining problems.

Imagination?
I don't understand why recumbent riders get so defensive about bents. Love my bent but there are somethings they simply don't do as well as an upright. On my gravel bike the trail wide obstructions were absolutely zero issue, but had to slow the bent cause hitting them at speed risked a pinch flat.
That cargo bike is a poor design, there are better ones out there.

Just because you have problem with small wheel & uplift, doesn't mean everyone else has that same problem.

I know enough about riding to lift my front wheel to clear obstructions. Also know since that isn't possible on a bent I instead slow down.

Because you personally cannot avoid obstructions or uplift, you assume & generalize that recumbent riders in general have the same problem?
If you don't understand something, that's your problem; stop assuming that applies to everyone else.
You yourself give poor reputation on this site.
Stop generalizing problems of your own as possibility for everyone who ride recumbent.
