Throttle not working after opening where controller is

So yesterday i was in the cavity where the controller is because i wanted to see what type of connector was attached to the throttle wire so i can get a replacement. I saw it was an sm 3 pin and purchased a new throttle from ebay. My throttle is working but there is a plastic bit inside that has snapped off so the throttle doesnt sit straight on the handle bars. Which means sometimes if i am not concentrating i can trigger the throttle before i am ready to ride. Just a wonky way my brain and hands are which is part of my disability. So i thought i plugged everything back ok but then i go for a ride today and the thing on the handle bars that allows me to choose between pedal assist and throttle only allowed the pedal assist options. I should see three lights on the lower part of it but can only toggle to a single light. The single lights i am toggling are slow, medium or fast i gather. i really hate using pedal assist but i did today for the first time in years. I opened the area where the controller sits again tonight to check and the only available connector is to the brake. I am confused as to what happened. The brake is working fine and i dont remember if it didnt have something plugged into it before. i did also pull out the front light cable as the front light broke within 6 months of me having the bike anyway. So i have attached usb charged lights on the handle bars . I saw tonight that that cable must have directly plugged into the pin(s) that plug into the battery. Is that usual? Anyway the front light cable was using up space in the cavity where the controller and whatever else is in there. I have that where all my bike bits are so not thrown away. I will clean connectors and make sure dust etc is not an issue but it doesnt look bad. The last time the throttle played up(maybe no lights at all) i cleaned the connectors to the battery where the plate is that it sits on and everything worked after. Trying to think what else could be an issue

Oh hi i fixed the issue. I forgot at first that this has happened before in that the bike didnt turn on at all . Not the same as just the throttle but still it is a power/electrical issue. So i made a video to help others that might get stuck too

changed throttle

I ended up buying a new throttle as there was another issue of a small ring that fits inside that had that had a TAB broken. I couldn't just by that little TAB which is very annoying or that little ring. So I replaced the whole thing and it's working really well. I had a lot of trouble getting the right part because a lot of sellers will sell more than one type of throttle. Many of them because they're dropshippers they don't understand what they're selling and the whole language barrier. So I was sent the wrong at first but anyway I persisted then got the right one
