Ebike system for a catrike expedition?
The bionx ebike system I have is not fitting into the catrike expedition.
So i am looking for a new one.
Ideally the ebike system will have a somewhat skinny/normal axel drop. That was the major problem with the bionx as I am hesitant to alter the dropout.
It will also have Regen braking since in the normal setup the rear wheel has no brakes.
And the cabling should be long enough that I can mount the battery on the front bottle holder mount.
Anu suggestion?

You'll need a direct drive system in order to have regen. Just decide how much power you want and check out the DIY products available . They have a range of 350w to 1500w in wheels for 135mm dropouts. The length of the wires shouldn't be a problem since the controller is connected to the motor, then to the battery and throttle or PAS. ebikesca (Grin) is an expensive place to purchase a system, but they are very astute.

100% agree performance line on everything active line is great for a super low cost bike that is ridden on mainly flat land but the already built and designed bike is generally going to be more reliable than not even if the motor is not as desirable. You rarely replace a Bosch motor or have major issues with the Bosch system even if it is their absolute bottom end.
