For your consideration

Much to my good wife’s consternation I plan to begin work this April on a second Bricycle prototype. I have nearly finished the design work and I offer some renderings for your consideration.
Construction will be fiberglass over styrene insulation board. Disc brakes all around, simplified gearing using a Sturmey-Archer or SRAM 8 speed hub. No differential this time, the right wheel will be driven by the peddles. Push-pull steering and polymer bushings for the suspension system.
I will use a Clyte 404 motor with a 16" rim as I am pleased with this units power and speed. I plan to run on 72volts and the controller will offer reverse.
Once completed, I will offer all the drawings, free of charge for anyone that might be interested in building their own. Approximate specs are; 93.4" l X 38" w X 52" h, 68.5" wb, 35" track, 110lbs without batteries. One feature of this new prototype, will be its ability to be stored upright, under a 96" ceiling, on a separate roll around dolly, taking up only about 14 sq ft of floor space.
Estimated cost will be around $2000.00 in materials, not including the batteries.
If you’ve ever built a flying model plane or a model boat over forms you will be able to build this velo.n5 (2).jpg
