Smile reid's serio-comic ebike project thread

My goal, and I have done it already.
An Aussie pal put my pet skink along for the ride! Photoshop fun, all faked, but yeah,
not so far from reality. After all, I'm not young anymore. I can't "Lycra" anymore.

----
What I started with, last November: a new, basic, quality, steel framed Chinese cruiser,
200 bucks US from the LBS:

--------------------

NB: by all rights of common sense and safety, ANY ebike should have a front brake!
But I am in Florida, flat, and don't go so fast, and it's a matter for me, my Hobson's Choice. See, I want a STEALTH CRUISER: nobody realizes it is an ebike! And no cables nor hand levers other than a tiny thumb throttle and a ding bell.

KWYADAWYADI (know what you are doing and why you are doing it)

Cool Off the wall comedy--for a purpose: don't be dyslexic

I have a long series of DIY ebike conversion viddies at YT's "ampdavolts", which is my own ebike account.

This first example is just plain insane, supposed to be stupid-funny, in a boring way.

See, it was like this: I've just dry-fitted the internally geared (Friction if run backwards!!!) front wheel motor...and gone for a very first, manual ride.

It is not yet electric, not quite yet:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4iC3PYGB_Q8
Please to not die of boredom in watching this....video? (I joke).

~

Next, there are MANY other ampdavolts videos of this ebike-build in turtle-speed progress.

Here, though, is the second part of my favorite, humble video.
It's all ad lib, and it is wholesome.
Other vids are technical to an extreme,

but here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwMZp2sAiEU
Children see the their very first ebike during its first real run.
It is not yet perfected. The children, though, are perfect.

If you have 2.5mbs of broadband speed, or better: please "HQ" the playback
of these crude videos made with an old, mediocre digicam

----
enough of that. any interested ebikers can see my goal and slow progress by skimming through the ampdavolts Youtube account.

This is going to be a world famous ebike!
Think: a submarine-capable ebike, and also, an ebike BOAT.

SUBMARINE YOUR PING

This has never, ever been done before, has it?
I think it's a world's first, and toward a very exciting end result!

I want to be in compliance. I =think= it is OK to direct folks to see my super-long,
often boring, yet, unique STEALTH CRUISER EBIKE CONVERSION, WATERPROOF, SUBMARINE CAPABLE

here: 22 pages of yakkety yak. When "Dom" is finished, I'll put a link here to this thread and you will see stunts no bike of any sort has ever done before. That's the plan, the hope, anyway.
I have shelved this project for two months whilst dealing with other issues, but it is basically finished.

ADMIN: just delete this post if it in any way "harms" your forums' needs to keep the traffic here.

ES does not need more members. We are non-commercial, but that does not mean that it's "free" for the site owner to maintain and manage.

STEALTH CRUISER UBER SIMPLE WATERPROOF EBIKE CONVERSION:
https://www.endless-sphere.com/forums...php?f=6&t=7454
twenty two pages, and with no end in sight, yet.

Skim and get some ideas for your own project bike?

I am an original, not just a clown. I'm very serious about this bike,
and making a custom conversion to suit my entirely sane needs. No joke.
NO front brake, period. That's MY choice.
I don't recommend anyone to 'copy' that non-feature.

I am responsible for my life, not your life.

BRAKE! (I know how to brake PDQ in Flat-or-i-da)

As old ladies said a hundred years ago, "Please to see...

Please to see the bottom, in particular, of page 22?

https://www.endless-sphere.com/forums...7454&start=315

It is not my intent to take viewers away from this forum, at all.
But I cannot twin-thread the bike's progress reports at both forums.
Management understands that I am limited, both by ethics, and physical weakness.

There is no hurry to finish. But I shall try to triumph.
This is the Human Spirit, of all ten billion or so people who have ever lived.

Am atheist, but, bless you all for your kind helps and forebearance
And DO come right back here to Bikeforums. E.S. does not really need to siphon folks from here;
I only need to FLUSH my boat-bike-to-be, ha ha; to show you my follies and fumbles, not
command thee.

Cheers,
Reid (not) The Word
