problem to set up my e-bike
need help/advice, any one...
i just bought a new e-bike kit from ebay, the wheel, the battery, the twist throttle are all connect to the motor controller, but i can not get it running, what is wrong? any one experience that problem before?

Same problem here. I ordered the Chinese 48V/500W SLA system from Rayben motors on eBay. Great price for a casual use toy - if it works.
I set it all up on a 5 speed retro cruiser (with V brakes) and charged the battery. Twisted the throttle and nothing happened. Batteries read 52V.
Re-checked the connectors, and one of the wires had pulled out. The I wired it directly instead of through the connector. Discovered that another connecter had bent pins, so I straightened them out . ... The wheel started up and ran for about 1.5 seconds and then stopped and would not run again. Re checked connectors and once more it ran for 1.5 seconds once, then not at all.
I am not sure what is going on, except for this: avoid the cheap Chinese junk if you don't want to do a fair amount of problem solving. I am going to cut off the connectors and solder the wires directly to eliminate any chance they are messing things up. I suspect it is a bad controller, though. If soldering fails to solve the problem, I hope I can return it with the connector cut off, or soldered back on.
any hints?
I was thinking of ordering a higher quality controller to use with this battery and motor, but many of the controllers I see with other brand names on them look identical to the one I have - ie same part, rebadged. Any recommendations?

i bought this kits from ebay, i am not sure name of the brand, but here is the link

im no expert
but i know that with some ebike kits you need to be travelling at about 5kph for the kit to start(motor)-to engage & with other kits you just twist the throttle & go(i think is better)..
like i said i am no expert,but this is what could be happening..
other wise post some pice of your set up & im sure you will find the answer thru some one here..
anyways good luck....

also,im 99% sure the brand of your kits are made by (goldenmotor)
so maybe google probs with setting up golden motor ebike kit.im sure with G.M kits you need to travell at least 5kph before the motor engages,but i think you can modify the controller,so it twists & go

OK, I'll try riding the bike before engaging the throttle to see if that is how it works. I actually doubt that this is the problem. In the ebay listing, the seller has a youtube video demonstrating the motor functioning from a dead stop with the front wheel raised (near the end of the video) - when I do the same thing, the motor does not run.

sure...i am glad to share with anyone here in the forum. i talked to the seller and mentioned all my problems and he said that when all cables were connected, battery was ok and no reaction, the most possibility was the pole, he suggested that i change the two poles of the power cable that were fasten to the motor controller and then try again, and voilá that resolved all my problems, that simple.
