Tidal Force M750 - info ?
Got up today and went out to the shop to find this bike at the door... a little more research indicates that my neighbour was talking to a fellow at a local senior's home and they had some abandoned bikes they wanted to dispose of.
Stock image: http://www.myebike.com/bikes/images/M-750.gif It is quite the tank at nearly 80 pounds and it is cool that the Montague frame folds up and was really wondering how the Wavecrest drive system rates. |
I have to say it. I wish I had your luck! I would love to wake up one day and find an e-bike on my doorstep. I wonder why it was abandoned. Sorry I have no info for you.. Just had to get that off my chest.

Am still not sure of the bike's origin and will have to make sure it was a donation and wasn't dumped...

This might help.
Wavecrest went out of business and a new company was formed. " Electric Motion Systems" Found info Here and did a google search. http://www.myebike.com/bikes/EplusMountainBike.html This bike is the spiritual successor to the Wavecrest M750. Has a 750 watt motor. The bikes are pricey. Full specks on the one above are about the same as my 500 dollar conversion kit. The company may be able to give you more info, to help you get an idea about the motor. Electric Motion Systems LLC 45150 Business Ct., Suite 300 Dulles, VA 20166 View in Google Maps Country: USA Phone: 877-824-5339 x 723 ( cannot find a website for them) Seems like a good bike parts wise accept for the price.. I don't know how much the M750 sold for but if it was as much, this may be the reason they went out of business. |

Good grief, man. I paid $2300 for that same exact model when I went car-free in 2003. Best thing I ever did. Been riding it everyday since I got it, and often pulling a big old heavy trailer to boot. I think it's got about 12,000 miles on it. So far it's only needed a couple power connectors replaced, and the spring in the thunb throttle broke at about 10,000 miles. That motor has the most incredible torque, and operates in absolute total silence. I bought a new 13 amphr NiMh pack for it in 2007, and it's just now starting to get weak, but still good for 8 miles or so. I'd love to have another one dropped off at my door. |

Was thinking that if everything is ligit and it wasn't just stolen / dumped I will take the powered bits and transfer them into my extrabike and turn the Montague back into a Paratrooper folder. |
I have TF step-through , ridden 18,000 !!!km on it almost approaching.
Motor is one if THE BEST IN THE WORLD if not the best in the world. solid and boolet proof. E+ bike is even slightly improved version of TF. Made in the USA which you know what I mean=quality. aFTER GETTING RID OF nmh BATTERY BIKE IS PRACTICALLY 100% trouble free. by ALL MEANS hold to it tight, you have one of the best technology in the world, ride on this thing is marvelous, no shudder at low speed, no whine like turbine /typical of Chinese hub/, just sweet silence. My cost 3500 $Canadian, from Kelowna BC. Tell me , please, please are you in Calgary or Edmonton? MC |
I have an M-750 and was in a Car Vs Bike accident. Can anyone tell me what the replacement part is called for the front forks? M-750 26" tires and I believe 20" frame. Thanks everyone.

Hi Durstwulf,
Tidal Force ebike drive system was mounted on all kind of frames with no just one type of fork. As far as I remember seeing them on manufacturer web site /Wavecrest - long gone/ they all had suspension forks. I own one on Step-through frame called Tidal Force IO Step-Through and it has Suntour suspension fork, cannot find any model# on this fork. |
