Charge Fast, Ride Far. The introduction for our RC-powered T1's

Hello everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself to the forum, my name is Tommy and I started FFR Trikes. We build RC-powered tadpole recumbents.

We build our trikes to customer-spec off of our T1-platform, and allow a range of upgrades and modifications to taylor the trike for the intended use.

We just got off the ground in 2009. We offer our CNC-machined drive systems for folks that would like to do high power-density electric conversions, and we also offer our T1 trikes that we ship fully-assembled and ready to ride. We specialize in drive systems for KMX's line of recumbent trikes, but we also offer drives and parts for standard upright bike conversions.

Here's a shot of one of our drive systems that we set up for a customer doing a
conversion on a KMX:

And here's an example of one of the drives we set up for a customer that was converting an upright bike:

And finally here's a shot of our Transition One:

We'd love to help anyone that would like to do a conversion using lightweight RC drives. We have a lot of experience with motor and gearing selection for specific applications.

Thanks,
Tommy @ FFR

A 2-wheeled Actionbent was the first recumbent that Matt (designer of our drive units) built.
Here's a quick video of it:
The rapping noise is a bit of belt skip under hard acceleration, which he has since cured with a wider primary belt.

If you're interested in a custom setup, just shoot me an email at tom@ffrtrikes.com, and I'll get you hooked up with Matt.

Thanks,
Tommy

Since Recumpence is involved you're OK with a little spam.

I apologize, I just wanted to introduce what we've been working on, and offer help to anyone that might be interested in setting up a recumbent with an electric drive.

If you would like to move my thread to the for sale forum, feel free. My intentions were not to push anything on anyone, just to share our work.

I have a lot of experience with motor selection and gearing, so if anyone has a similar application I'd be happy to help in any way I can.

Thanks,
Tommy

as far as i'm concerned, this post is relevant to this forum and is a discussion thread rather than an advertisement.
