I told you late last year, Lifepo4 prices would start dropping in price real soon...
look at this....
" buy it now "
https://cgi.ebay.com/48V-20AH-LiFePO4...item1e6293320d
so for about $480 shipped, you can now get a new 48 volt- 20 A/h lifepo4 battery with BMS and charger.
1-2 years ago, you could not touch these , brand new, on a buy it now option, for less then $ 550-600 dollars...
so we are now at the $480 price point...
in another year...I say we will be below $400 shipped for a 48 volt/20 A/h lifepo4.
hopefully the prices will get lower, while newer technology will eventually make the batteries lighter in weight.

What batteries did you use to come up to $340? My 20ah 44.4 lipo packs sent me back around $400 lol. (8 Turnigy 6S 22.2V 20C).
Lipo is a bit more spendy to get into charger wise, but once your set up you can build a battery pack for anything.

Batteries of a given chemistry vary in construction, capability and quality. This makes statements about price of limited value without more information about the actual cells used.

2 years ago, I dont think it was even possible to buy a NEW lifepo4 battery , with a 48 volt/20 A/h rating for under $650....no matter what brand you wanted....now, the marketplace is offering it for under $500.....and as technology improves and more manufacturers enter the lifepo4 market, prices will continue to go down.

My guess is, that in 2 years or less, we will be able to buy lifepo4 battery in 48volt/20A/h CAPACITYS , for under $375 shipped....and its very possible that as price goes down and technologys improve , along with competition growing, the technology on lifepo4 may improve even as their prices go lower.
this is how the market works in many industries...it happened with lipo batterys, brushless motors, televisions, microwaves,etc,etc....and I think it will happen with lifepo4.

The regular price is $49.99 x 8 would be $400
But if you watch them sometimes they have a 'swarm sale' button where you get six others to sign up and they drop the price to $42.66 each. At the time it was $0.01 shipping too.

it came with his total kit...
I only have about 60 miles on the bike /battery since I bought it...so its to early to tell much...
the battery reads 53.6 volts...when fully charged....and holds that very well, without a load applied.....my charger takes ip uo to around 58-59 volts...but the battery goes down to 53.6 volts after I take it off charger and let it sit for about 20 minutes...and it holds at that voltage.

I've read alot of posts that say to cut the 48V wire going to the charge indicator on that style trottle. In rain it can short out to the trottle signal and cause the bike to stick in full blast.

Well I ordered a 36v 20ah from him too..
When I get it, I'll test the charging too...
With most of my batteries, once charged up the cells usually hold at 3.5-3.6 until a load is put on them.
I'll see if I can get better results than you....
I test out batteries thoroughly
With about 10, 10 mile trips and then a full to empty (LVC) and test AH usage
