36v 24v supply
Hi
I am new to the forums. I am hoping someone can help here. If I had 3x 12v SLA battery's making 36v, is there any reason why I could not tap of 24v of just 2 of them for a different motor/supply on the bike.I charge them separate anyway. I understand there is going to be a in balance but would it work ok Thanks. |
I don't understand your question. Do you have one 36v battery but you don't want to break it up into a 24v battery but just want to leave it and tap off the 24v? Or are you using the 36v for a motor and you also want to run an additional 24v motor off it at the same time?

Yes you can tap off of 2 of the batteries for your 24v motor. I am assuming you will recharge before going back to the 36v setup though. If not there will be a power sag from the 2 batteries that were used to power the 24v motor. Keep in mind if you tap off the 24v a lot eventually 1 battery will aoways be stronger then the other 2. So if you can rotate between the batteries so they all have simular cycles.
