Quick question for ezee bikes
A friend of mine has an ezee sprint bike, and the battery has recently died.
In the manual it states that it uses a 36v Li-ion battery pack. Now, am I right to assume that they are using 10 cells in series? Li-ion cells tend to spend a lot of time at around 3.7v, but they tend to be 4.2v when fully charged so a 10 cell battery pack would give 42v when fully charged. I ask as I'm looking into building a replacement battery pack for him, and was wondering if 42v was to much power for the ezee controller and motor? THanks. :) |
I have an Ezee front hub motor (36v 450 watts).
When I take my battery off the charger and hook it up, the Cycle Analyst shows it at 42.7 volts. I haven't noticed any issues. The motor and controller seem to be okay with it. I will soon be in the market for a new battery myself, unfortunately the shop I dealt with has gone out of business. |

I now just need to a few extra things like add in a fuse and a different battery connector, and maybe a faster charger and I should be able to get this bike going again. :) |
