I cant help but wonder how important are these features to the average E-Bike ride ?r
As far as folding bikes go you can use a trunk bike rack & remove the battery so it's the same weight as a bicycle on your car.
I've personally put 3600 miles on my E-Bikes since Feb 2012 & never needed to fold it or even put it in my car. Dont these features just compromise the structural integrity of a bike & are merely gimmicks ?

Unless you require them, as with a normal bike you don't buy a folder unless you need the feature (or just love small wheels) as it compromises the bike in some ways.
Taking the battery off to reduce weight is a thing of the past unless you are using lead, my recumbent trike with motor and battery weighs 16 kg and I have a 14 kg folder coming.
