Electric "road" bike
This is my first try posting on anything, but I've hit a wall and don't know where to get some info. I'm a 54 y/o woman and former avid cyclist who has had MS for 32 years. I'm entered into a more progressive form of the disease, but I'm just not done cycling yet! I've been adapting down from my Kestrell road cf...then to a triple crank TREK 1420....for the last two years I've been riding an electric Giant Lite pedal assist. I've been able to keep my miles up to about 100+ a week using this workhorse, and even did a ride from Harrisburg PA to D.C. last summer, but the Giant is sooooo heavy. I also carry an extra battery with me so I can travel 50+ miles a trip.
I really miss riding my road bike, but the problem is I have no ability to lift my right leg over the bar and I also have foot drop (along with a host of other issues..balance; vision, etc.. we don't have to go into here). Despite my exhaustive research on the web, I cannot find an electric pedal assisted road bike (drop handlebar) with a step through frame. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I want to ride while I still can ride. Frankly, I think my fitness has kept me as healthy as I am for so long. Thanks

I bought Biria bike and electrfied it with Eplus kit.
You can electrfy bIRIA with Canadian BIONX kit.
You cannot get bicycle easier to get on than Biria, frame lowers near crank really low.
You are not only one who cannot swing leg over rear wheel
I cannot also for different reason-arhraitis.

About the closest thing I could find is this:
T80+ Lowstep:

The T80 has a adjustable quill stem that might get you fairly low. You could also probably fit a (flipped) riser bar to it. Not sure if it would be possible (cost or otherwise) to convert it over to a true drop bar, but how knows?
Otherwise, you might consider a "DIY" conversion kit from Ebike Kit, Ebike.ca, or Amped Bikes, etc (as "Powell" suggests). Of the 3, Ebike.ca for sure offers a PAS (pedal assist) upgrade on the 9C kits. Most other kits use only a bar mounted throttle IIRC.
The DIY conversion option might allow you to select a step-through bike and then set it up to your specifications. Or, if you'd prefer, you should be able to hire one of your local bike shops to do the conversion.
Note: selecting a LiFePO4 or LiMn battery for your ebike should help keep the weight down, while offering better performance over other battery chemistry types of similar volt and amp outputs.

This DOES look interesting, I am also looking for a solution like this for my wife and don't want something that LOOKS like an ebike, partly because I don't want her stopped on our local cities trails and asked to leave for riding a "motorized" vehicle.

My choice of Biria was particularly because of very low tub frame at the crank, exactely.
I don't understand why it must be woman bicycle. Why such standarization.
Most women wear trouses also.
BIRIA is a bicycle for everybody who cannot swing leg over rear wheel.
But I choose Biria also , because it gives me room for my A123 battery sitting very low on tube frame between cranks.
I chose this place to mount my A123 for low CofG
you cannot beat law of physics.
In such setting Biria ebike feels incredible stable and predictable.
my experiences with Eplus and my conversion from factory NMH battery to A123 20Ah is described in Eplus thread started by Metalman just 10-15 threads down. Conversion is ongoing I will be reporting soon again on the progress.

You might want to check out the "commuter booster" set-up which is an add on specifically for road bikes for those who want the minimum possible weight. Not sure when he is going to do his next production run of the partial build kits but it is at least worth a look for ideas alone:
