Aotema front drive motor?
 

I'm still trying to zero in on a motor for my first build. Anybody using the Aotema motor http://store.hightekbikes.com/index....&products_id=8? It's a 750w direct drive sensorless motor. Is there a downside to using a "sensorless motor? I plan on using a 36v/10.4ah battery. The bike will be used for just recreation in my immediate neighborhood. Bike and rider weight without the electrics is 180lbs.

Surely there must be someone here who has some opinion of the Aotema motor or sensorless drives in general.

I've never personally heard of Aotema motors so you may want to use the search feature on this forum or Google to get some reviews.

There are several forum members, myself included who are using the 48v 1000w Papamotor setup with a Ping 48v 15Ah battery with great results.
