Q100 front motor appears to be limited to 12mph?

Q100 front motor appears to be limited to 12mph?
I'm still trying to get my first build (36v front Q100 328rpm with 36v 10ah battery) sorted out. It appears to be electrically limited to 12mph. When I reach 12mph (exactly) the motor starts to cycle on and off to prevent 12mph from being exceeded. The PAS. speed limit and cruise control are not connected. I appear to be stuck in low speed on the BMS Battery "meter" which consists of an on/off switch, 3 speed control, and battery charge indicator. Can I disconnect the "meter" and short several of the wires together at the connector and create an "always on" condition temporarily to troubleshoot the problem? The meter connects to red, black, blue, and green wires. Which wires should I short together?

What if you leave the "meter" connected via the "led panel wires", and switched on, without the blue and green pins inserted? I think the blue and green are involved in speed setting. Not sure which of blue and green are involved with "6Kph" walking mode, and which is 3 speed determination. Although blue is "power key" according to the diagram, so I could be wrong. The fact your speed is truncated to 12kph seems that it is related to the "meter" setting, assuming you don't have the white/white "speed limiter" going on as well. On our Ku65, the three speed buttons didn't seem to do anything noticeable to vary the top speed. I'll fiddle with it a bit tonight. It wouldn't be easy to try my suggestion though without taking the connector apart to the meter. And just soldering it up thereafter, after you tried the permutations. You might probe the connector pins just to see if there are only low voltages on that connector, or not. (on the controller side). If there is full pack voltage on the red, I'd be more careful.

Update: Leaving the blue and green wires unconnected left me with no power so I shorted the red and blue wires together at the female "meter" connector coming from the controller effectively taking the "meter out of the circuit. The motor now spins the wheel (unloaded ) to 34 mph. When I ride the bike, it still tops out at 12mph with the motor cycling on and off. Is this being caused by the controller limiting the wattage output to the motor under load? Anyway to convince the controller to be more generous with its output?

That sounds like the white "speed limiter" wires are connected, or that the controller is operating as though they were, although I believe that works unloaded as well to restrict speed. I've tried that before, and those wires work that way. I think it is time to try a different controller, perhaps a KU63 with no meter at all. The three speed buttons on my LED meter don't work at all on my controller - probably just with PAS which I'm not using. Very weird behaviour. Peace out.

Is there a wiring diagram or some instructions on how to set one of these things up. I just got mine, and there are lots of wires coming out of the controller. :-) People metion all kinds of options/variations in setting these up (The PAS. speed limit and cruise control, walking and speed modes, shorting "red and blue wires"
