I visited Sydney area on business trip once. Loved it. I brought my BikeFriday and rode every morning along Manly Beach before work. I did a long 3 or 4 day weekend bike ride up to the Hunter Valley vineyards and to a town called Muddpie or something like that but it was harder going than expected up there and I looped back and stayed a night at a hotel and played golf near the famous Borkenwood Graveyard vineyard.....I felt like I belonged there after doing such a long ride.

Solar :D
I cant help you with your panels but I love solar lighting, especially for the garden, technology has come on a long way since solar lights first came out many years ago and it is great. I used to have a dynamo (6 volts) lighting, but it put a lot of drag on my journey, especially up hills, so I junked it after several years and went solar :thumb: I went with this company Welcome to Owleye One reason was, I wanted the lights to be orange, we like orange :) I am so glad I did as the front one is blinding, I charged it up and pointed it at the gf and almost burnt her retinas out, she wasn't impressed  Charge it for 6 hours you will get 6 hours constant light or 12 hours flashing! "Eco-Friendly: Stylish light with solar power technology for biking , hiking , backpacking , camping , adventure racing , boating , climbing and emergency lighting for home or vehicle. Durability: Sturdy, water resistant, elegant hard housing protects the light's inner component against the bump and crush , good for cycling in any weather condition. Effectiveness: 2 hours Quick charge under sun. It works more than 1 hours for constant mode and 2 hours for flashing mode in full power condition." I got the sunlight.set, and after initial fitting and riding, I found it best to mount the front one higher on the bars to avoid my knee, and dropped the rear one down to the bottom of the seat post as I got a new SKS seatpost bag :) Night time riding, I found the front one is brighter than my old 6volt dynamo, no drag, and free to charge, cant be bad! |
I mainly use this for my phone/gps, but it works for my light too.
