Just don't setup a cadence alert. Did a 200 km ride with a triathlete who had both HR and Cadence alerts setup on his Garmin. Nothing but bee-boop , boo-beep all day long whenever he stopped pedaling for a second.

heh, not a big fan of alerts anyway. Can you set up an annoying alert to tell you when you are behind your annoying virtual partner?

Hub full of angry bees = cadence alert.

How does your Ambit 2 track?

I'm happy with it. It's much better than some older garmin hand helds I've used. I've seen it mess up before, but that's pretty rare. I want some of the features newer stuff has like notifications, but I've shied away from the options that are out now. As a brand I think I trust suunto more than garmin at this point, but there's a certain safety in numbers feel to garmin also. heh
