Bluetooth speaker on a bike?
So I've been considering putting my Beats Pill (bluetooth speaker) on my road bike so that I can listen to tunes while I ride (when appropriate). I find earbuds can prevent me from hearing potential danger around me and the speaker straight from my phone is just not strong enough to hear at any reasonable speed.
Anyone got pictures of how/where they mounted theirs? Advice on a mount to buy, etc, etc? My speaker isn't too different in shape and size from a water bottle so I'm wondering if incorporating water bottle cages that I already have could work. |
i just put mine in the center pocket of my jersey.

I bought a Buckshot speaker a few months ago and I love it. Decent sound quality/loudness and it goes a long way per usb charge. 14 hours plus.
Plus it takes only seconds to mount it on any bar with the included nifty little rubber band. Have also ridden in the rain with no issues at all. http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=477243 |

While that speaker does seem like a good option, I already own a Beats Pill 2.0 and it is a pretty nice speaker so I'd prefer to just use that and figure out a mounting solution. I see that Beats actually makes a bike mount, but it is $40-$50 which seems absurd given that I could buy that speaker + mount for the same price or even cheaper (I know all Beats by Dre stuff is overpriced...) I could probably build something myself, so I may end up going that route.
