I couldn't find anything either, not even on the Supernova site. Is there a reason you are interested in this particular hub over others?
edit: apparently you can get one from the UK for 160 pounds. |

The Dynamo release function may have sucked , that's why the dumped it ..
I never need to turn my Light Off , the drag is insignificant |
I was just interested in the supernova, Honestly I have no problem using something else. I was looking at the Shimano hubs. Im not to sure which one though. I did read through peter whites site, but am honestly a bit overwhelmed.

If it's any help, I have a 36-hole Shimano DH-3N72 and am very pleased with it and wouldn't hesitate to buy another if needed. At the time I purchased it the choice was between this, the Shimano DH-3N80 and one of the SON dynamo hubs. I selected this one in particular because it was significantly cheaper than one of the SON hubs and the 36h version was in-stock unlike the 36h DH-3N80 which would have had to be ordered.
If I were to purchase now though I might give a closer look at one of the Shutter Precision hubs fietsbob linked upthread. |
SP has a switchable hub. Search ebay for PD-7. I have a normal SP and it has worked beautifully for almost three years. I know someone who had one fail in less than a year but was sent a replacement with no fuss. I'm about to get another one for a different bike so I must like it.

The poor organization of Peter White's site makes the decision very daunting. You can't read any of it unless you've read and understood all of it.
Look instead at the European web sites to see what's available. Once you find the model right for you, you might be able to buy it here. If not, order it from Europe. I've bought stuff from three or four European sites and been pleased. Try xxcycle, Ribble, and Wiggle. |
I usually buy my sp dynohubs on ebay and they get shipped direct from Taiwan. I recently noticed you can now get them cheaper from Starbike. I got a SON through my LBS, who ordered it from Peter White. The only compelling model they have right now for me is the version that conducts through the fork, so it's a bit specialized.
I think it's pretty clear that the Supernova hubs are rebadged SP's. People were excited about SP's clutched version when Velo Orange was going to sell them, but then it flamed out. I don't see the need really, I typically run my lights all the time. |
the Plug type Shimano uses fits a little loose over the Hub tab . had to stop and push it back down occasionally .
SP uses a similar plug, as I read. I have never has the spade connectors come loose on my SON hub.. |
Thanx everyone for the input, Im seriously looking at the SON 28 ISO Disc.
