Hero 4 Session question
Any Hero Session users here? If so, I have question for ya.
I know other GoPro models can record while hooked up to an external battery, which is great for lengthy recording sessions. In the past, I've had my (recently deceased) Hero 3+ (Black) wired to a 10000mAh external battery and got over 6 hours recording time. I'm wondering if the Session can also record while being recharged / hooked to an external battery? Can't seem to find a definitive answer in any online reviews. I know having the side door open to access the micro USB port would defeat the waterproof aspect of the camera, but I wouldn't try it in the rain. I drilled a hole in the side of the Hero 3+ housing, thus also rendering useless that waterproof housing LOL. Thanks in advance for any information you can provide. :) |
i just did a very short test, and recording works fine.
1- connect camera to a dumb USB power supply 2- press the shutter button, to start recording 3- press the shutter button, to end recording that wouldn't work if it's connected to a computer, because pressing the shutter button when it's connected to a computer puts it from "charging" mode to "connect to the computer" mode. |
