Chinese LED light comparison
 

Here are some light output tests I've performed on this light:

I have compared the output to the following, all at the highest power available:

MEC Quattro light : MEC Quattro USB White LED Front Light - Mountain Equipment Co-op. Free Shipping Available
LG Nexus 5 flashlight

Results:

28" from sensor, highest recorded value

Chinese light - 10000 lux
MEC quattro - 12000 lux
Nexus 5 - 75 lux

Notes: Aimed directly into sensor, recorded highest light reading. Chinese light and Nexus 5 have much wider flood lights that light up the area relatively evenly in a circle (center being brightest, diminishing slowly as you move away from center). The quattro has high lux readings only because of a very small focused area where the light sits. The outer area of the lit light for the quattro is very dim and readings diminish very rapidly. The light does not light up the area around the sensor much at all.

Light directly focused into sensor, point blank range:

Chinese light - 745000 lux
MEC quattro - 165000 lux
Nexus 5 - 105000 lux

Notes: Limited light spillage. Point blank range into sensor.

I can take photos of the light patterns later with my SLR and a constant shutter speed.
