Cateye wireless sensors

I have a Cateye Strada double wireless bike computer. The sensor mounts on the frame near the back wheel.
I received a Cateye Padrone as a gift and the sensor mounts on the front fork. I was wondering if the sensor for the Strada would pair up with the Padrone cycle computer.

Give it a try.

Rub a magnet near the sensor and see if it works.

It doesn't have to be on the bike.

According to Cateye's web page, the Padrone uses Bluetooth LE sensors. So, No it will not work. However, if all you have is a speed sensor for the Padrone, any Bluetooth LE speed/cadence sensor should work with that unit. To make sure, I would take the computer to a bike shop and see if they will let you pair it to a Bluetooth sensor (if they have any in stock). If it works, and you want cadence, rather than spend money on a speed/cadence sensor, check out the Wahoo RPM. It's a Bluetooth cadence sensor that mounts on your crank or on your shoe.
