Dynamo hub wheel on my mind.
 

I found this on ebay, but the problem is i have a disc brake on my bike and the wheel is for regular brake.

Is it possible for me to use this somehow? i've thought about changing the front brake to a regular brake if necessary, but after looking it over i'm wondering if it will fit, the disc brake hub looks wider with the flange for the brake, is the fork wider on my bike? OTH, am i better off just building my own wheel?

Front hubs are front hubs, disc hubs are no wider than normal hubs. You could use this wheel just fine provided you put a different front brake on the bike. Thankfully most modern front hubs are all spaced at 100mm, so considering your bike has disc brakes now, that means it's modern and this would work fine.

Personally though, I'd build up a disc brake dynamo wheel if I were you.

Any money you would save on the wheel would be paid back in changing the brake.

After a couple years I have the connector common to all the Asian made hubs (mine Shimano ,virtually same as Sanyo &SP)

making me wish I had bought the Schmidt hub wheel instead ,
(I have another bike with that so I took it out, yesterday evening, instead of Shimano -Brompton),

their spade connector is reliable ... the folded bare wire in the plug type, less satisfactory..

a while back, the market was flooded with cheap wheels with disc dynohubs. The supply seems to have dried up, but you probably can find something. Shimano makes a cheap disc dynohub that goes for the same as the Sanyos and Sram hubs. Actually, you might find a deal on the Sram hub, it works fine

There is a company selling wheels from Germany on ebay. You could also check the german online sellers for built wheels.

SP Dynamo disc hubs are plentiful on ebay. Take it on as a winter project to build it up, or pay someone else to do it for you.
